Your hard work, devotion, and persistence is paying off 10 fold! It is very inspiring!
I know you are learning new elements of anatomy (so am I, I think we all always are, hah!) and they have improved dramatically! I can see the Sewly influence and your hard work pouring through!
Something that helped(s) me push things and learn bit by bit is doing free bust (reference-less from sub-conscious interpretation and memory) and likeness bust (full reference sheets, close study, RL models). Just push them, try to do one to a stage of satisfaction like every day or 2 days for about 3 hours, then check your results against reality.
I have a belief that if a artist pushes to master the face, the rest of the body becomes easier as the face becomes more difficult. (A theory of why some portfolios can be nothing but bust and work well)Sounds strange; the more you observe about a face the more complex its overall form becomes, but its because of all the little shapes working in conjunction on the focal point of the face and eyes that can force the artist to constantly evaluate the desired mood. Just give it a try possibly, for a week or two; it can be frustrating, but thats how you know you are bridging the neurons towards your goal!
