Super Quick....and Easy Stuff

In this thread I will post various quick and easy images that I create. Everything will be completed in Zbrush except for some slight colour tweaks in Photoshop.

Not sure what sparked the idea for this, but I had been out late that night. Oh, and I had a dresignated diver too…

Cool looking model. man…looks simple…but I’m sure…there’s a lot of behind thought…going on…Well done… :+1:

Thanks…and I do think the behind thoughts might be in the “a lot” category…

Just another fun little doodle…

I really like your work. You should get them printed. I would love to see a step by step on your process!

Nice style looks really good ! I especially like the cow

Thanks! I eventually may have some of these printed, but for now with little time available I am enjoying building a consistent collection of Images.

I will happily answer any questions about the process I am using. It is all quite simple and with a good lighting setup and render this look can be achieved.

First I Create the simple Zsphere model while checking the preview to make shure the edges are smooth. Next, I make a polymesh 3d at lowest subdivision level and Then create a crease for the mouth. Then I subdivide the mesh to at least level six to attain a decent polypaint with nice crisp edges.

For the dimples, I use the standard brush with the intensity at 68 and the focal shift at -56.

The base is simply a polysphere flattened in the deformation menu.

For the polypainting, I am careful to select all my colors with the same saturation level.

Next, I place several backlights sometimes in various colours and do a render test or two to refine the placing and intensity.

Finally, I often render with the depth cue and softz on.

Oh, and the material I use is PolkAdot.

There are more steps between these processes, but I figured any beginner should learn these quickly…I will be happy to answer any specific questions.

These do look more cute before I add the teeth…

Not sure if the name was influenced by the fact that I was eating a jar of honey glazed walnuts while drawing this…

Thanks for the comments pitchepuck, aesis412, and Sora Na!

Was considering adding a school bus in his mouth, or a giant terd on the ground. Decided to leave it as is…

A New Threat.jpg

I’m really loving the color used on this guy, he’s brought out more I think

Thanks!

Adding a little fog and using the glow material for the windows improved this one I think.

Thinking about creating some kind of chess set with similar characters…
