Hi all,
I start this guy testing the sss shader in vray, just for fun. Then I get excited with the results so I added the cloth. Base mesh in max, sculpting in Zbrush, vray for render and Photoshop for compositing and hair.
This work is based on Enrique Breccia’s comic character “El Sueñero” (there is no translation for this word).
Hope you like it.
Great render. Love the glint of evil genius in his eye. His top lip needs a little bit more presence in my opinion, but overall a great job.
I think “El Sueñero” means the " the dreamer" from the word sueño -/- dream but I could be mistaken…
great sculpt, and mood you’ve got there!
Wonderful Character, great sculpt and render, nice little details (five o’clock shadow, shaving cut, grubby collar) … upper lip as laurie said could be more prominent. I look forward to seeing more of your great work! Cheers, David
Guys, I think he’s pretty much dead on.
Kaosmos, hope you forgive me for posting a pic in your thread.
Great sculpt and render!
looking great!!! keep posting!
Thanks, laurie. The top lip is like you see because this character has a particular smile. As you can see in the image below.
Hi Polo2011, thanks for your comment and translation. The thing is something like this: dreamer is a person who has a dream. In spanish is soñador. In this case sueñero could be something like a guy who sell, collect or steal dreams. He is not a dreamer, in the comic the character is a merc collecting fantastic creatures from differents worlds. He needs them to create some kind of roman circus. In fact there is no such word in spanish. It’s an invention by the artist.
I hope you can understand this explanation. My english really sucks. Sorry.
Thank you, I’m glad to see you like it.
There is nothing to forgive. Thanks for posting this image. When I made this post was too late to add more details like this one. Now I have time to do it. Thanks.
Thanks!
Thank you
