OK sorry to duplicate this but it seems as if when it gets tagged as “Answered” it locks it on the list. Could be wrong on that. But I wanted to bump it to the top because this is actually not solved:
In search of an intuitive way to continually add loops around areas of a model based on groups.
Currently, I have run into an issue that once I have smoothed out a group of loops with the Smooth Group tool, and then cleared out those groups to make a new group to loop, it destroys the smoothing on the original loop when I choose Group Loop again. If I leave the group in of course, it will loop the group again which I don’t want. Group Loop does not seem to obey masking so that is out. And hiding parts of the mesh creates a new loop around the area clipped. So that is out too.
Any ideas?
The reason this is not solved is because, though you can polish by features, it only polishes groups. It does not polish the loops that are not assigned to groups. And to do this, you have to kill of the groups as you go. Then when you add a new set of loops it destroys the smoothng on the earlier ones.
And there is no real easy way to group them again as Auto Groups does not seem to work for this.
Any ideas?
