Smetimes when i subtract an object using the dynamesh sub feature i must put the subtool that is being subtracted from on the top with the add button on and the subtool that is being subtracted on the button with the subtract button on. sometimes its reverse and the subtool that is being subtracted must be on the top with the add button on and the subtool that is being subtracted from must be on the bottom with the subtract button on. im not sure if i have a certain button pressed that is causing it to do this. it is extremely annoying because i never kno for sure what the outcome is going to be and if its wrong i have to redo the procedure the reverse way. does this happen to anyone else
hi ebrake94, I have had the same problem. Sometimes it works, other times you get a strange result. I have found that using remesh will get you the result you want. The process is the same. Hope that helps!
Make sure the subtractive mesh has less polycount than the original
