Subtools & exporting question

Okay, well I have this model that I’m working on in Z. At this point I have three different subtools that are each subdivided.

How do I export this model to be ready for 3ds Max, textures & all? I’d like for the eye’s to be a separate part of the mesh for animation purposes. I have an idea about how to generate normal maps for this project, but no idea how to export textures that will be readable by 3ds Max 9.

Please Help!

Check out SubTool Master.

You should also check out the documentation at www.pixologic.com/docs about polypainting, which explains how to convert to texture.

I have subtool master, I have been using it for a little while so I am familiar of its exporting help. I know how to combine and export the mesh. Also I
am familiar with polypainting. What doesn’t seem to work is having a texture loaded for each subtool, when I have a texture loaded for one subtool it seems to overlap onto another subtool. For example in this picture I have created a texture from polypainting on the head. The model of the head has no eyes, yet for some reason when I create a texture for it it covers the eyes. The same is true if I load a texture for the eye subtool, it overlaps the other eye and the face. I suppose I could create textures for each of the subtools separately before loading them as subtools and then export, but it seems like separate textures should work in subtool mode and I am just doing something wrong.

-It would be good if someone could make a tutorial about modeling a character in Zbrush and then exporting all needed files for use in other applications. Hmm I bet someone has, I just need to find it.

zbrush can only display one texture at a time and it applys it to whatever has UV’s.

btw that dumb test is pretty lame asking for all your personal info.

Yeah its how the free image site makes it’s money. One Texture at a time? That would explain it… Thanks.
