Okay, so I have 34 subtools appended together. Each subtool has a morph applied to them which is the original Obj file. The problem I’m having starts when I split the hidden polygroup and make it a separate subtool. Now when I go back to Sub-D level 1 I can no longer switch back to my original morph target. How would I go about getting that morph back for creating my Normal map? Merging doesn’t work because that destroys my Sub-D levels and erases the Morph.
Have you considered using 3D Layers to store your pose?
I’m not sure I know what you are getting at. I need to retrieve my original mesh before I subdivided it without loosing my highest Sub-D sculpting level so I can make a good normal map.
I guess I can just create a displacement and then apply that to a new mesh that has the Morph ready to go. Not the cleanest way to do things but it usually works ok.
