Subtool Master Glitch for second Life (answered)

Heya all,

Was wondering if anyone could help, though seems a glitch.
I’ve been using Zbrush to make hair for a virtual program called Second Life. To use it I have to make special spheres, with 1056 points of vertices, so they can be made into sculpts for SEcond Life. I used to use lots of spheres as subtools, and then merge them, but these days, when I try it with subtool master on this hair I’ve made, the points change from 1056 points to 994!, which means they’re unusable.

perhaps someone might know why,

Thanks

Are you using ZB 4.O?

Were you using ZB 4.0 successfully with your workflow prior to having problem?

When did you start having problems.

Are you using the standard “Make Polymesh 3d” button in the tool palette or are you using the plug-in Marcus kindly provided.

When you add subtools are you duplicating the first subtool or appending subtools from the Tools Palette that you initialilzed, created and turned into Polymeshes.

It’s necessary to have a few more details before your problem can be diagnosed.

SubTool Master’s ‘Merge’ and ZBrush’s ‘Merge Visible’ both respond to the ‘Weld’ button in the Tool>SubTool button. Turn this off for the selected subtool before merging and all will be well.

ooo good to know! Thanks Marcus!!
