Whenever I try to mirror a subtool with “append as a new subtool” checked, the script doesn’t finish. It mirrors the piece alright, but doesn’t append it into my original tool, so I have to do it myself. Not a big deal, but annoying when you do it fifty times a day. Anyone else notice this problem?
Which version of SubTool Master are you using? You can find the version by placing the cursor over the main SubTool Master button and pressing Alt. It should say version 02.
Hi, Marcus! It is version 2. The next time I tried it, ZBrush crashed. When I restarted, it worked normally. Wierd. I’m thinking it has something to do with saving things as a project. I’ve had ZBrush crash on me several times when I’m trying to clear out secondary tools prior to saving a project. And this Is what I was doing this time as well. I had just cleared out other tools I didn’t want, using subtool master, delete invisible (because my unwanted tools had dozens of subtools each, and I have a pet peeve about hitting delete 50 times in a row). Anway, it was right after this that the mirror function went haywire, and then it crashed. As I’ve said, I’ve had it crash several times when just clearing out unwanted tools. From now on I’m sticking with Save Tool.
Thanks Will, that’s useful information. I’ll look into the crashing on delete.
