subtool master duplicate makes subtool much larger?

Hey guys,

I was wondering if any of you might know why when i go to sub tool master and duplicate a sub tool, it makes it like 10 times larger once duplicated. I cant seem to figure out why this is happening. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Katon

How did you make the subtool? (I’m assuming this only happens for one particular subtool.)

no it happens with any that i try it on. All my subtools were made by making a lowpoly in Maya, then importing them in. Earlier on when working on this I did not have this problem, it only started recently. I have upwards of 30 some subtools, maybe that has something to do with it?

The number of subtools shouldn’t make a difference. Try duplicating by hand to see if that makes a difference:

  1. Select the subtool you want to duplicate and press Tool>Clone.
  2. Append the clone as a new subtool.

thanks Marcus, manually doing it worked fine. I should have thought of that. I wonder what is up with the subtool master then. Any Ideas?

Not really. If you can post a subtool that causes the problem I’ll take a look.

I wish i could post one. I cant post the one i am working on though because it is for our game. If it pops up in a subtool of my own i will do it. Funny thing is, it is happening to a coworker this morning as well.
