First of all sorry for the messed up grammar in my thread title. I tried to edit it once I saw it but the edit feature won’t let me edit the title.
I was polypainting just fine on one subtool and when I went to paint on the hair it was super freaking slow to paint on it. The hair piece is only about 200,000 polys. The body was 800,000 and when I painted on it I didn’t have any slow down. The place where the brush mark lands on the hair piece is also off and its’ just all around weird. The painting goes so slow on the hair that it doesn’t even paint lines, it ends up being dots. It’s very frustrating because I don’t know what’s so different that it makes that subtool all wonked out. Since it’s a cartoon character, I originally made the hair from an extrusion off of the body subtool. I don’t know if that would make a difference or not though.
I’d appreciate any help!
