subtool gets more polys???

agein me with a subtool question…

I did a split with separated polygroups and now all of a sudden two of my parts have 3 more polygons than before, meaning I cannot reimport a mesh for disp map extraction
If I export the mesh It does not have those 3 polygons extra.

The imported base mesh has 5 sided polys. The guy who does loves them…
are there any other possible reasons for such a thing?

I have to check everything myself…
The Uvs were obviously laid out wrong… The 3 polygons were represented in a different uvarea, but they weere included in the subtool, fixed the uvs and fixed the object
