There is likely a problem with the file itself. However, it might also be your settings. I can’t say because you didn’t provide any of your system information, how many polys your model is, or what your Preferences>Mem settings are.
Sorry about that…I’ll have to post all that when I’m home.
I’m running Vista with 3gb Ram and dualcore Pentium 2.1GHZ. I have a 256MB ATI card as well.
I have 6 subtools…2 are about 8 million and 2 are maybe 6 million. The others are pretty low. The tool is fine by itself …it just crashes when I bring it in as a subtool and try to edit/scale it.
I’ll have to post my preferances later or tomorrow.
draw a mask on the tool before you use any deformers…i am assuming that is what you’re doing, you just said edit.
draw a mask
clear the mask
then try to “edit” it
You don’t even have to draw a mask. Any time you select a subtool, rotate the model on the canvas a little before applying a deformation to it. This is a known issue.
Thank you aurick, that did the trick!
