Well, I had all intentions in making a gnarly looking stylized male elephant. Complete with cool wrinkles, scars, and facial. But, after much debate, my girlfriend talked me into doing a render with the elephants skin pink. After seeing the render, I was instantly convinced that this needed to be a female elephant =)
I have a couple ideas what Ide like to do with her. Ballerina outfit anyone? =)

Im still early in the process, and C&C is very welcome.

Heres the quick concept that I drew up for this fella. Ive decided that I’ll be making a male and female version =)

Your girlfriend is definitely the one with the happy candy! Great start on what looks to be a great character design. Does look sorta masculine though, for a girl elephant. Then again, the girls in your neck of the woods could be a little different. :wink:

The girls in my neck of the woods (LA) are deffinately a little different. But I wouldnt say their different in a masculine, pink elephant with buggy eyes looking way. =)

Haha, I really love this! The little curl in the hair at the top is a nice touch. I’d actually love to see this animated, I think you could do some interesting things with that big trunk of his :slight_smile:

Now im really at a crossroad.
Ive been working on the body a bit. Basically its going to be a ballerina. I just dont know if it should be a male elephant in a ballerina outfit, or a female elephant in a ballerina outfit. Guess it would be more comical if it was a dude, but more cute if it was a chick. Decisions Decisions =)

So, I finally got a little free time to dance around with this project.
