Student Purchasing the Full Version of Zbrush

Hey,

I am currently a student at a Technology Collage here in Utah. I am wondering if I can get a discount on the Full Professional Version of Zbrush since I am a student. I am getting the Pro version instead of the Student Version.

I am planning My puchase in the next few days so… If some one could get back to me on this it would be appreciated

If you need Academic Proof feel free to ask.

Thank you very much,

Ben Stanley

Academic/Education Licenses:

Pixologic’s partnered resellers (see the Academic heading at http://www.pixologic.com/resellers) provide two kinds of educational discounts, depending on your needs:

Individual students and faculty can receive a discount on the single user license, which may be activated on up to two computers provided that both copies are not actually used at the same time. This copy of ZBrush is full-featured with no watermarks or other limitations. It is also able to receive any free upgrade offers that Pixologic extends, with the license remaining an academic license after the upgrade. The only limitation is in the license itself, which allows ZBrush to be used strictly for non-profit/non-commercial purposes. An individual academic license may be upgraded through Pixologic Support to a full commercial license at any time, receiving a discount of 50% off the current commercial price at time of upgrade.

Institutions requiring five or more seats may receive an academic license under the volume licensing system. Under this system a number of seats are purchased equal to the number of workstations on which ZBrush will be installed. There is no home use option. All copies of ZBrush share the same serial number, making it easy to manage the license in a classroom environment. As with individual academic licenses, these are for non-commercial use but they may not be upgraded to a commercial license at a later date. Bulk pricing is available with most resellers, with discounts increasing at higher quantities. After purchasing a volume license, additional seats may also be added to that license at a later date, with no minimum quantity required. As with the individual academic licenses there are no software limitations and these licenses are also eligible for any free upgrades.

So let me get this right.

When I purchase the Academic/Student License I get 50% off When I upgrade?

I also read that it is full featured (No Limitations)…

Is the Student License time Limited? I read Somewhere that it was.

I just need Clarification on this.

I think you just can’t make any commercial things with the Student license. I’m not sure though. And I would think it would be safe to assume that it lasts as long as you are a student. Say you graduate in 2-3 years, that’s when they are expecting you to upgrade if you want to use it professional. Send a ticket to Support Center they’ll clear things better for you.
