Hello ZBrush Community!
I want to tell you a story. I am a software engineer with a passion for 3D printing. My current boss will leave the company soon and I thought about what I can gift him for all he did for me and the rest of the team (he really is a great person). So I came up with the idea of sculpting an Aladin like wonderlamp (which has something to do with what we develop in our team) with a bit of text like “Thank you so much” on one side and the signatures embossed on the surface on the other side.
Additionally I want to integrate a battery in the base of the lamp as well as a RGB LED in the outlet of the lamp so that the lamp can “shine”, maybe together with a near field sensor so if you rub the lamp the LED will turn on.
And here the problems begin. I have to make a basemash which is (partly) hollow and have some specific measures for the battery and the LED. ANd honestly I don’t know how to do this in ZBrush.
I have fiddled around with ZBrush in the past and already viewed literally dozens of lecture videos about ZBrush but I’m missing some hands-on experience.
Since my boss will leave in one and a half month I thought I can make use of the ZBrush Trial version for 45 days so I can use the incredible features of ZBrush for this project.
Can you please give me a hint, how to approach this task? There should be no problem getting the base form in but Ithink I’ll really struggle to make thet thing hollow, 3D printable and with those specific measurements (in which I’m not sure if ZBrush can actually handle this).
Any help would be really appreciated! Thanks in advance!
