To make this portrait I used a rather basic workflow. I started by modeling and sculpting every detail in zbrush (including eyes and irises) I made an initial polypaint for the base color, and drew the tattoo again via polypaint. I then switched to substance to refine the additional maps.
Regarding the shader, it too is pretty simple, for the skin I made use of texturing.XYZ displacement (using zwrap for texture transfer) and made the groom with xgen.
