Street Fighter - Ryu|WIP

Hi, i’m currently learning Zbrush3 at my university and started some fan work  I’ve seen some amazing models here >_< !!
So well about a month ago, I started my first Digital sculpting (after some quick tests to get used to zb) :stuck_out_tongue: based on ryu from sF. I haven’t touched it again(loads of course work… ) yet but I shall resume very soon.

I'm still learning to use Zbrush :p so Tips are very welcomed! :p Here goes the latest turnable :p(med settings - 14Mb) [http://teesside.trebor777.net/2K8_2K9/zbrush/RyuWip04_med.mov](http://teesside.trebor777.net/2K8_2K9/zbrush/RyuWip04_med.mov) And some pictures ![Ryu01.jpg|1058x1080](upload://g3YgNEpFu6CyV0L2gDNxWyZ3OsT.jpeg)

Enjoy!

EDIT: didn’t saw the topic about images! :stuck_out_tongue: sorry about that.

Mutant Dog

Thx! I’m quite happy with it though there is still a lot to do… and i’m thinking to maybe redo it completly, using another process.

The way I started it, was
zspheres or basemesh -> pose the character -> sculpt it.

But it seems better to do the basemesh, sculpt it and then pose the character when finished.

I’m also not satisfied by the look of his hair.
I messed up the hand, and feet, by not doing them with zspheres… thought it would be easy to “extrude” them.
And still got to do the clothes:p

a little on the rough side but i see some good stuff here. good pose as well.

I decided yesterday to restart from scratch :stuck_out_tongue: but this time i used the “Super Male” template… increased his muscle structure :stuck_out_tongue:
and decided to split into different subtools everything which isn’t skin…
So hair is a subtool, and the bandana, the kimono, the pants, (and the future gloves, eye balls and mouth ) as well.

This time, I’m also using max to create the basic meshes I need :stuck_out_tongue:
And I’ll pose the character once it’s finished!

The result: Much better! In less time!

i forgot. try using subtools for his gloves and headband. it’s easier to apply materials to individual subtools than painting it.

I know :stuck_out_tongue: that’s also why I restarted from scratch :stuck_out_tongue: and going to do

also for clothing try using the topology tool. there are tutorials about it online on veoh and youtube. well you don’t have to but i like the topology tool for clothes.
