Hi!
I’m a relative new user to Zbrush. While working on a model, I was having some strange skin problems. Upon closer inspection I found a strange, unconnected zsphere hiding inside my root sphere. I can move it but I cannot delete it. It also doesn’t seem to render at all. I can build new spheres off of the strange sphere, but they don’t always seem to be fully connected and they never render.
I’m pretty sure it’s not a magnet sphere, as it is not transparent and I never see any link indications. Nor does moving it around seem to affect the model’s skin in any way I can see. I’ve scoured Google and these forums looking for anything similar or any indication of what this is, but can’t find any similar references.
From what I have seen, the weird skinning may be due to the model being “stuck in classic mode because Zbrush can’t quite figure out what to do.” Of which, I can’t blame it! I tried doing a Transpose Master Store Rig / Paste Rig, but got terribly messed up results.
It’s not important that I fix the issue. It’s now more of a curiosity. Have I stumbled across a feature that I am not recognizing? Or is this some kind of a bug/damaged model?
Example screenshots and the ZTL for this are attached. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!
