Strange questions cut through two sub tools at the same time to align?

This is a strange questions. I’m not sure anyone on the forum would have a need for this. I’m preparing a zbrush piece to be enlarged and milled out in foam and created in bronze. I call this tra-digi art. Anyway, I want to have subtools “arms” cut to allign with the arm near the sweater. How do I cut teo or more subtools to align with each other? If you need some visuals check out this blog post to see what I am talking about.

Thanks in advance guys,
Bridgette

You can try to use dynamesh with the curve polygroup brush and slit the mesh at those angles capping the wholes that you place. Resolution might not be what you need though.

can I cut through two subtools at the same time. Seems like I will just have to guess at connections, perhaps using transparency to see where to cut.

You can merge the two subtools and then use the slice brush. If you want the two subtools again you can duplicate the new merged tool and delete the extra parts on the two subtools.
