Strange polygroup problem

I’m working on a turtle that I molded using zspheres and zsketch.

The problem is when I try to separate the head, torso, and legs into groups using "group visible", some invisible polygons get grouped along with the visible ones. First I hide the body using CTRL+SHIFT and clicking on the leg. One of the polygons that the curser is sitting on is green. That's one of the polygons that I'm having trouble with. there is a problem in the Zbrush file.
If you export out subD lvl1 and import that into a new file it should be okay.
Does the mesh have UV’s?

This happens from time to time it’s no big deal really, just more of a pain in the butt.

Thanks for the advice.

I haven’t messed around with UVs much yet, so unless one is created automatically when you make a unified skin from a polysphere model then it doesn’t have one.

I wonder, if I exploded it using GrpSplit and then re-combined it using Subtool Master, would it come apart at the seams when I sub-divided or edited it?

you’ll want to to use tool>subtool>merge visible and make sure you have weld turned on. If you use subtool Master it will still have breaking at the seams.

Thanks for the tip!
