strange geometry

hi guys and any ladies… first off can I say ive never ever used a forum before so please forgive me if I post threads in the wrong place… I’m a total newbie at this. I have a bit of a problem with combining two parts of a model I’m working on in sculptris. a few years back I dabbled in zbrush but it was just too much for me but I did save a couple of obj files I had created in zbrush. now ive found sculptris ive got back into the modeling… only as a hobby. I imported one of said obj files… a basic head… and managed to convert the quads into the triangles sculptris uses… I then saved this as an sc1 file… reopened and started sculpting. I then added a new sphere thinking I could combine with the head to continue onto the torso. hard to explain what it looks like but I’m gonna try and upload a couple of photos. any help at all on this will be greatly appreciated. as ive said I’m totally new at this so I will try my best to answer any further info if it is asked of me. thanks again.

To me, it just looks like the sphere that you added just has a different material than the head. I don’t use Sculptris so I can’t say for sure. You might have better luck asking about this in the Sculptris Forum.

thank you for the reply… honestly thought I had it in the right area… ive moved it now so hopefully the more I play with this the more I get used to it. thanks again.
