strange dream

i hoped to get rid of some uneasy feelings that were left when i woke up after having had a strange dream with a few “guys” running on their finger-tips a few days ago, so i did this one. in fact, painting it today did not help :smiley:

the head is a variation of one of Pixolators great heads that come with the default scripts, the hand was provided by Martin and is ready for download at Z-Place. the “frame” and some colour-adjustments (as it looked extremely different on the two monitors i viewed it at) were done in photoshop.

This is really wild, Juandel, and a radical departure from the kind of stuff that we’ve come to recognize as your “style”. Great to see that you can keep us guessing, my friend! The shapes are recognizeable, yet odd, and the colors are very provocative in some way that I can’t put my finger on. It’s a really cool scene.

By the way, you haven’t seen any Addams Family movies lately, have you? :smiley:

Unsettling and evocative image, and definitely dreamlike. Don’t you love the rush when you realize you’re dreaming, and also that moment just before then?

Thanks Juandel, Now I’m gonna have nightmares. The dark vignetting really captures the tunnel vision feeling that dreams have. I like the ground level POV and the tiger stripe texture on these guys gives them a real ominous feeling :eek:

sorry, Zoid! ah, this night (it’s 5.45 am over here and i’m already starting into a new week) i’ve had much more relaxing dreams, so spoiling yours seems to have helped :wink: i’ll try to set that straight as soon as i find time to illustrate last night’s dream, ok?

Miss Cleo? i’ll check that one out! the place where Sigmund Freud asked his clients to tell them about their dreams while they were resting on a couch, is within walking distance from here, but i would prefer to be that close to a living dreamologist like you, DeeVee or Cleo :smiley: hehe, aurick, no, no Addams-family lately, but as we know, things pop out of the past in dreamland, so that might well be the reason :smiley: :smiley: :smiley:

stonecutter: that rush is great, but i have not yet experienced it too often, i’m afraid. it would be too cool to be able to keep that knowledge in mind without leaving the dream, but thats something i seem not to be able to manage :wink: if i don’t tell about my dreams within a few minutes after waking up or doing a sketch (which i usually can’t interprete myself a few hours later :)) i tend to forget them. but this one stuck in my mind :slight_smile:
