Strange behavior when using move on Zspheres

Hi, I have the following problem with ZSpheres (among a lot of others with these tricky little devils  ):

When I have made a construction of connected Spheres and switch to the move-mode and then click on a ZSphere to move it in the Construction on the canvas, the whole construction oftly disappears suddenly.
When I redraw it then on the canvas again, it can only be scaled to an specific point (the construction stops scaling at a very small size) and finito.

Storing and reopening the file gives me the construction back again with normal behavior, but after a few minutes (Move-mode and clicking on ZSphere) the same occurs again.

Any ideas ?

Maybe Cannedmushrooms video here will help

I’ve found that using a brush size of 1 while zsphering also helps. If the zspheres and other tools disappear or shrink to the side, you can undo one step back, then resize the objects back on screen manually or by hitting f. This won’t prevent them from shrinking again, but it has prevented the inability to resize, in my case anyways…

james, its been driving me crazy why does it say you joined the forum in 1969

That’s because I took a bunch of drugs during the lsd hippie era. One day I tripped so hard my mind and body got zapped almost thirty years into the future. It was like when Neo enters the Matrix, except with more than just red and blue pills to choose from. As a previous painter of weird hippie stuff, I immediately was attracted to the art medium of the future, the computer, and started zbrushing. I miss the music, though…

…take note that zspheres become even more difficult if the walls around you are melting and for some reason you find it funny…

…I have no clue!?! I wasn’t even a spermie until late '82…

Thanks, spaceboy, yes, that’s exactly the issue I meant.

When I understand the video right, the solution is to switch to the move-tool, play with the spheres an hit ‘F’ to bring it back.

I’ll try it.

James: Welcome to the 21.century.
Seems your mum had a lot to swallow.

It was a long swim…thank god she didn’t spit…

I’ve heard aurick say that the trickiness and errors with zspheres are known bugs. Hopefully, that means they will be fixed up nicely in the next update and more intuitive to use…whenever that may be…(as I pray to the Zgods for a Siggraph update)…
