Strange behavior by brushes when using stylus

I just ran into this problem.
When I hold control to mask the mask rectangle is white instead of the dark color when using stylus. However if I use the mouse it works perfectly fine. when I change to mask pen it doesnt draw the mask, but if there’s a masked area , it will remove the mask. It is as if the ‘alt’ button is constantly pressed. When I hold shift to smooth the surface it roughens the surface instead of smoothing it!
all these strange behavior occur when I use the stylus, they work fine when using the mouse. I dont think it is the stylus as I tested it in Photoshop and it works perfectly fine! Please refer to the image for a better understanding.

For some reason ZBrush is registering your stylus as an eraser. ZBrush registers whichever end of a pen you first use as the drawing end. If, for example, you start ZBrush and then try sculpting with the eraser end of a pen it will work fine for sculpting as normal. Switch to the drawing end and it will behave as if you are holding Alt.
