Stoyan's Sketchbook

I myself learn by looking at the masters of film sculpture, and find it the perfect way of learning ‘form’ and ‘technique’ in the digital realm. There’s no cheating involved whatsoever, just us evolving into the digital way of modern sculpture.
Again great job, add me as friend I’ll follow.

Regards, by the way, you see the palms of the ‘raptor lookin alien?’ they need to go in more, I mean its the palm of the hand/claw, it should more indented, (looks too bubble like)

Thanks, dude.

Here is what I’ve got out after some texturing in zbrush and render setup in Maya. I would be really happy if I could receive some advice on how to improve the image or the sculpt :).

Good job, I really like this one!
I think you could work on the slime a bit more, but even like that it is awesome!

Looks great! Hey, what’s the material you were using for those Zbrush screen shots?

hey stoyan3d

I like your creature, its looking awesome

IMO its a bit symmetrical, good design :+1:

milko, thanks man, you are going to chase me with this slime for the rest of my life :D.

scrybe, I don’t know where exactly I got the material from, I just know that undoz made it, he is also a zbrushcentral user.

Morph Division, thank you :). Yeah I think he is a bit symmetrical but I had only a few days to do him and I just didn’t have the time to break up the pose a bit.

Anyway, on to my next work:).
This is a character based on a concept by Svetlin Velinov. He is not an exact copy but more like an interpretation. He took me about 3 days to model and render in ZBrush. Hope you enjoy :).

You can find the original concept at:

Recently I’ve completed my new reel so I thought it’s a good idea to post it here. Most of the work is done in zbrush anyway. Hope you like it :).
