Wauw! Thank you man, I’m honored!! Really appreciate you stopping by.
@BenRidgway
Thank you!
So, finially I can share some work that I did over the summer that is finally up for the public!
So a little back story, some graduate students from my school (Magnus Møller and Peter Smith) have started their own company Tumblehead.dk And they have done a few projects, but now they are working on pitching their bachelor project as a TV series, so this meant that they needed a bunch of new characters and that is what I helped them with during the summer (among other things). I bascially got to do everything here, design, sculpt and texture them and then finally Magnus Møller did some paint over work on them to give them the final nice look. Also the frog wasn’t designed by me I just did some minor changes to it.
Anyway, everything is done in zbrush and photoshop bascially (thank god for zbrush otherwise I wouldn’t have been able to make two of these a day ):

The film Elk Hair Caddis (which is absolutely brilliant) can be seen here:
All AWESOME!!! But in my heart, it’s all about that darn porcupine! Beautiful work yet again sir!

Love the characters, and the clip got me laughing. Good job :)
Hey Fred, just love your work especially dinos and rhinos. So how do you get the mesh to look so smooth? My meshes always appear lumpy and it ruins the look of them.
@Cristian Rio
Thanks a ton Cristian! I’m really glad you like it
@Polo2011

@Santis
Thanks buddy, glad you like it!
@Paint Guy
Thanks mate!
I don’t really know, I guess its just taking it slowly one sudb at a a time, smoothing a lot etc. I really can’t give you a clear answer.
That’s fair enough. So you smooth a lot before going up in subdiv’s. Any particular tool you use to smooth or just the “Smooth” tool?
@Paint Guy
No not really I usually work with firstly claybuildUp, and then smooth brush.
There is a video of me working here: http://vimeo.com/14480375
And I made a tutorial some time ago:

And this is a model, that I will be working on for 1½ month, texturing, rigging, fur, comping and finially the guy I designed it with Jonas Mikkelsen (http://jonasbm.blogspot.com/) will be animating it.
And this is a sculpt I made some time ago.
Hope you guys like them all
