oh and if your wondering why i asked that question, i played all the quake games all up to Enemy Territories: Quake Wars. . awesome series.

SolidSnakexxx : Below are screenshots straight from zbrush. Although i do not subdivide the hard edge objects because I use it only as template for the organic sculpt and plus cant Sub D it, because i did not separate the cylinders (like buttons etc) in subtools. When the cylinders are subD’ed they generate spikes, so i learnt my lesson from now on i seprate the cylinders I mainly generate all my maps in XSI.
Gohanf22 : The game style is far from quake maybe hehe. Its a real time strategy game with a feel of 3rd person style. Thanks heaps for the comment

When you say 3D RTS, do you mean the player is in the game on the ground like a FPS camera, but following the character in 3rd person like Solid Snake. Kind of like Uprising.

Awesome work man, the high poly models looks really good. tons of details and design on all of them. i think alot of the details are getting lost on the low poly models because the normal maps arent cranked up enough though. could just be how you rendered the models or something.
Gohanf22 : Cheers the game is seriouly cool for an RTS. I was even surprised my self when i first started work in the studio. I was like is this really an RTS? hehe
Point: Thanks for your kind words. Mostly RTS are played on a flat plane like starcraft etc. This one is like played in a rather unique view for kinda FPS style but your whiping across massive ground planes in an instant with a controller to guide your troops and position them etc.

robertrageson : Thanks, The normal maps are coming out probably not as much on the trooper with a helmet on. Its just looks all flat on the models because there is not enough polygons to carve out the most important parts / detail. It is an RTS model. Main troops require 2000 to 3000 tris with 1 texture sheet for each unfortunately and that is including the gun .

Below is the render image some parts were used for the cover of the January edition of the 360 magazine in australia. Also the content page of the magazine contains the full image render.
The chick character with a head band on, the high res model was done by an outsource company, but it was heavily modified in house by our lead character artist Glen harris and textures remodified by Won Kim. I did the beauty render. The chick getting choked I did the full model from start to finish.
I also did the back cover of the magazine. Again i got parts of a level and just added units, rendered it and post production. Most of the organic units were done in zbrush by various artists including me. Some environment normal map bakeouts were done in zbrush for example stones rocks etc by environment artists.
