Hi Guys,
I was wondering if there was a way to Set an active subtool to be transparent, and have it remain transparent whilst setting other subtools to either be the same level of transparency or to be not transparent at all.
Ive done a bit of research here and there and found various descriptions of controls but nothing really quite what im looking for… Any help much appreciated thanks so much!

The ZBrush renderer doesn’t currently allow models to be self-transparent. There is no way to get one SubTool to be transparent with different settings from other stuff.
Now if you’re rendering in ZBrush you can use canvas layers to get the effect you’re after. I’ve talked about that here: http://www.zbrushcentral.com/zbc/showthread.php?t=73179
