hmmm well this collage …I made a 3d Octothingyalien…and I then …starting left…put it on a plane and made that the background…and then on another 3d plane and made the reflection…the other image is the octothingalien by itself before I messed with it in z or in psp…and the bottom pic is the octoalien thingy on some psp water effect that I normally use…so…hmmmm this was a study in experimentation per Stonecutter’s exquisite suggestions…cooments welcomed as always…I like both water effects but Z can do the same thing that I do in psp I now believe…just takes a bit of getting used to…you be the judge
Ron also please be aware that this is all done using the demo version as well…that info is fo r the benefit of the new ZBC users…
First, your ‘AlienOctoThingy’ kicks serious ass!
Secondly, although anything that works for you is fine, I think with all the tools we have available in Zee, a little experimentation will provide fresh approaches, all of which will be much less ‘I’ve seen that before’, than just sticking with a quick fix…We’re all on new ground here, and a glance through the many scripts people like Zoid, Pix, DeeVee, and many others have produced will show how many surprising capabilities ZBrush opens up…
well took the image as it originally was and put it into psp again to do the greyscale thing and put it in the water there…it will take a bit more for me to get it into the Zwater where it really belongs…buy hey I am working on it…I am still a newbie too
Just keep experimenting Ron…In a couple of months you’ll be amazing yourself, and us!
i love your little experiments ron … looking really cool…
Awsome.
Ron please go to sleep, You are more than hooked man, you have swallowed the hook the line and sinker. Damn nice image.
Ron this is very cool stuff indeed.
Stonecutter is right: ZB has amazing capabilities. Playing about is what gets us into new areas/fresh approaches.
What a splendid ‘Sea AN-Enemy’
ya know I went to bed…got two hours or so of sleep…got back up and went to work and did my morning shopping and here I am again…no work and all play all night makes me look like one of Southerns creations…muhahahhahahahaa and I say this with the hook of Z hangingoutta my mouth…love yalls comments…and sea A enemy…lol robo…killin me jus’ killin me…
o and thnx for noticing my artist area on the other gallery…ie catfishman…snicker…sly sea dog you
I have to model a catfish soon…cant believe I havent tried that yet…I feel a model coming on…muhahahahaha
Wow, that looks really . . . well not sure exactly, but it is a great looking image! Now all it needs is something to prey upon . .
whoooah, Ron! extremely well built whateveritis!
and so on! is that what you think about while cafishing? if so, i for my part would not pull on the line
Stonecutter already pointed you towards a lot of neato ways to do water within z-brush (havn’t tried them all yet, but the results look
). here is another hint: for the liquid terrain experiments (failed to get reflections, though :D) i did alphas the terrainy-way with the fiberbrush. i describe the settings in the very first post.
good luck and congratulations on that enemy
