Stl files import

Hello Everybody,
I would like to use zbrush for medical models and custom prosthesis desig, the problem is that the data I receive to work with is just in stl file format (coming from dicom image processing). Is zbrush 4 importing stl files?

zbrush can only import .obj files.

you will have to get another program to do the conversion.

… this can be a problem… everytime we convert between different object there’s the risk to loose something… and we’re talking about medical apps, so every detail is important…

stl to obj translation is lossless.

I would need to test it, is there a demo of zbrush 4 available?
