Hi, I upgraded from 3.5R2 to R3. It was working but now when I try to start it I get a fatal error with the following details:

I’ve tried a full uninstall, reboot and reinstall but still get the same error.

Have you tried running a virus scan on your computer?

The fact that uninstalling and reinstalling did not fix ZBrush indicates that the issue is computer-related rather than ZBrush-related.

Also, what has changed about your computer between now and when ZBrush last worked? Have you changed hardware? Installed any new software or drivers? Had to do a system restore or something like that?

Nothing has changed about the machine as far as I know. Versions 3.1 and 3.5R2 are also installed on the machine and working correctly so perhaps you could tell me what 3.5R3 does differently, are there other prerequisites, is there a way we can debug this problem.

One thing I noticed but cant see how this would make a difference but 3.5R2 is installed to a non standard folder (“program files(x86)\zBrushR 3.5R2”) where as 3.1 and 3.5R3 are installed to the default Pixilogic folder.

I am running out of idea’s so any help is appreciated.

When you did your full reinstall, did you delete the 3.5 R3 folder after uninstalling? If not, could you try that?
