starting complex composition need help with clothing

hey back for my second post

I originally made this Maquette as a reference piece for a painting and i’m thinking of spending the time to make it a nice final sculpture.

I’m looking for help because clothing has always been the most frustrating hair pulling part of zbrush sculpting for me. If anyone has a workflow that works for them or any good tutorials it would be awesome.
Also is there any way to adjust the reflected light in zbrush to bring it up to a higher value key?

go to google search, type in “military p coat”, then use the images that pop up as reference. thats the best tutorial youll get on modelling cloth.

Also something i was wondering about, is there any way to adjust the cast shadows in a render, like how long they are etc.
