Fantastic XO sciFi suit … cool rider and awesome base … most inspiring

amazing work, this one has got to be my favorite thing ive seen on zbrush central, since im a fan of mechanics and tanks.
Its great to see the detail taken to the next level on these things instead of just leaving them course meshes, you can really tell.

Hi Guys,
many thanks for the replies.

nellement: Thanks dude. yeah I made the ears a bit smaller to fit into the helmet.

undoz: Thanks mate. Yeah zbrush helps when the hard surfaces have a lot of curvature and is sort of organic.

monstermaker: Thanks rick. I am glad you liked the changes.
I too like plain renders more. Just put the blue ones in there as a reference to the different surfaces on the model. without textures it looks pretty flat.

Drakelot: Thanks mate. Much appreciated.

rouncer: Thanks buddy, I’m really glad you liked it. I wish I was working…
need to start looking around soon.

Hi guys,
Just took a couple of renders from zbrush today…the details seem to stand out more in these…
I know the polys are faceted in some parts…but this is the max my comp with 2 gigs of ram will push out…:frowning:

Sweet stuff man! Love the bust - cant wait to see some more updates and renders! AAaaa!!

Really nice, love the amount of detail in it and the proportions. Are you gonna texturize it?

Hi Guys,

venkysansgiri: Thanks venky. Much appreciated.

xerious3d: Thanks dude. Really appreciate it.

YsenGrin: Thanks buddy. My head is swimming just thinking abt texturing it…:(…

cheers

Excellent hard surface modeling! Very nice bust as well. Now lets see some z-brush work on that armor  . Ok heres the story, hes one of a few survivors from a terrible ambush by a hord of zerglings and lurkers…the end. That should get you started.

Good work again.

Very cool dude, Great Job.
Love how your using Ronnie for it, classic.

Nice hardsurface stuff you got there mate.

If your trying for a replica then i think that you need to make the groin plate and chest piece smaller and tilt them down a tad. Think you can just use the move tool in zbrush for it.

Hi guys,
Thanks for all the replies.

RaDraw: Thanks mate…and love ur idea. Need to upgrade my pc tho…its choking just loading the model…:frowning:

Kravit: Thanks dude, really appreciate it.

Belltann: Thanks mate. Appreciate the crit. will try to fix it…
I admit although initially I tried to replicate…I realized soon that it would be crazy trying to get it to match the very limited refs I had. I just went with something that looked similar to what blizzard had created and as mentioned bfore its nowhere near as detailed or as perfect as Blizzard have created.

Fair enough, i think youve done a really nice modell that can stand on its own. Just a thought i had. Im working on hardsurface stuff meself, and damn…its hard.

fantastic peace of work !!

Just looking at the detail that so many of you put into the faces get me thinking about the latex mask business or latex foam prosthetic pieces. Has anyone used a 3d printer to output a mold for doing this sort of thing? (It would basically be a reverse of the bust and then divided in half in a way that would allow you to put it together, pour in the latex and let it cure, and then separate the two halves. I think it could make for a fantastic little business.
What are your thoughts?

That’s a really kickass marine. I think Fausto would be proud!

from about that far its perfect, how close do you have to get anyway…
AWESOME WORK!
