Standard Material: Changing color?

I can’t find the way to change the color of a standard material.
I want to make a clay material using standard material but they seems so obscur.
I thought I found the way by changing the diffuse and ambiant and adding diffuse color and ambient color, but while doing that the wireframe doesn’t show up, and if I want to add reflection on it (I’m trying to mimic the Mudbox shader which I find really great), that’s the same, as long as I am putting diffuse color to 100 the other effect doesn’t show up.

I prefer the standard material because I can change the lighting on the fly and look at my sculpt on different lighting contrary to matcap where the lighting is embeded in it.

Thank you.

Still trying to do this, noone know how to do it?
I just want to change the color of the basic material, I like to use it because you can tweak the lighting in realtime instead of matcap where the lighting is baked.

Thanks
