its not easy to do, thanks alot for sharing your workflow !

Kris… Thanks a lot for your explanations and your deserved
!!!
hey Kris, thanks for the screen shots, always great to know all the settings that you use for your work.
And speaking of settings, what camera settings do you use, what “focal Length” for render bust works like the Stan Winston caricature?..
Thanks
Thanks a lot guys! Scott, congrats on your piece too! It looks great. I’m still waiting for my copy though. Did you get yours.
yolao,
to model I normally use a 60mm in Maya, but for Stan I was thinking about using a tighter angle to simulate the almost fish eye look shown on the original painting. At the end, I simulated the distortion on the model itself so I could render it at 60mm (or 50mm, don’t remember well). Anything between 50-70mm works for me while I’m modeling but 55-60 seems more natural. Not sure what’s the equivalent for the human eye, but I think those are pretty close. For the render, just like in photography, it all depends of your intention. You can use a 15mm or a 200mm or anything you want so your intention and composition make sense.

CONGRATS!! All of your models for this were outstanding (as usual.) Hey, when are you going to finish your “Green Guy?” I really like your take on the Hulk.
Hey thanks! Not sure man. I’m planning to re-sculpt him quite a bit but he is in line now, waiting for some other models. I think I have now accumulated 15 or so work in progress models. Dunno when I’ll stop starting stuff and take some time to actually finish them, including these ones for the challenge that I really want to improve when I have the free time again
-Kris
Hey kris. Congrats man. You and Alex deserve it, naturally.
