Squid Inc WIP Thread

Hey everyone,

Ive been posting my progress around on other forums but havent had any luch in getting feedback then it dawned on me why havent i put it on Zbrush Central the forum for artists all doing the same thing! I know genious right!

Basically im going about making a Voidwalker and a Gnome Warlock from a popular game franchise World of Warcraft and then plan to have a go at printing the model and learn from all the mistakes that i make along the way.
At any rate here is where the model is at so far and any feedback would be amazingly helpful.

This is the voidwalker so far the base is very rough and just sorta figuring it out also need to change the hands but other then that im pretty happy with where its at unless you guys see something

I started the weapon last night or atleast the blade since i left my working files for the big guy at work so heres the progress on that im planning to put this on hold again now that i have the voidwalker back at home :stuck_out_tongue:

An update on the voidwalker more refinement on the base and connected the bottom to the body to make it one mesh slowly getting there any feedback would be great

Update on the big guy worked on his bottom a fair bit so its not just one big blobby mess and then added some detail to the base and changed up his mouth a little bit more now planning to go in and edit the hands to be more inline with the game so its a 3 finger claw with a thumb i believe have to check tho.

Also took a screen render from Keyshot since hey may aswel get a pretty render on Sunday why not

Update

Hey guys so i update all of the social media for feedback on Monday so i thought hey id throw it up here so apologies for the spam but least its the latest version right

Difference between the keyshot and this is i have basically worked on the hands changing them to fists to be more aggressive adding in detail and then slightly refining other parts but primarily its the hands as always any feedback is greatly welcomed and my plan over the next few days is to get the base and plaque finished.

Update:
Added in the bottom half of the emblem and started adding in some detail plan to work into it abit more and refine the details then work on into the middle where the text will be held. Almost there!

A quick update to the banner since i feel i got it to a point im happy figured id post up and see if there was any feedback let me know if you see anything

More updates so basically ive tied all the elements together now and the statue is ready to go as its own but not going to stop there still need to put the gnome warlock on top shouting and casting away so onwards and upwards hope you guys like im looking around at other work and its like dayyyuumm one day ill get there though!

Hey guys, just an update on the Gnome Warlock. I’ve blocked our the armour to get the proportions correct and now slowly working though adding detail. Currently I am working on the hat. Any feedback is always appreciated!

So finished up the belt as intended added a collar around the neck and made half of the chest piece currently working on the bottom half of the item and then its just the gloves and shoulders before working on the pose getting close cant wait to see this finished and printed already
have ideas for the next project :). Let me know what you guys think of it so far

Update on the Gnome she finally has feet and a dress to boot were closing in on the finish line and then onto the final pose where things will get really fun with a book and weapon in hand.
Test prints will be starting towards the end of the week and we can see how great this little fella will wreck havoc upon our desks!

Did a test print and finished off the gnome this week gotta say it looks pretty badass printed and looks amazing the detail that came through is just mind blowing, the stitches i put into the gloves and bottom of the skirt have even come through.
Now to just make a weapon and pose the little devil cant wait to have this finished and sitting on the desk being awesome, plus have some fun projects planned for after

I’m loving this! That detail came out great in the print. May I ask what printer you are using for this?

dam sorry about the late reply using a form 2 to print this is still kind of rough imo as it was just a test print at the time tho learning a hell of a lot along the way about after care and having a blast soon there should be another update just been so busy of late
