Spread UV's to borders

Is there a way to relax a uv map out to push it towards the edges?

UV Master, with attract from AO gives a mesh that is long and skinny. I’m less worried about stretching than losing tons of resolution.

Can the UV Master output be taken into Maya for this kind of process?

I know you can sculpt the uvs’ to spread them out but it really seems like a fast way to get the worst results interms of disproportionate scaling and stretching.

Any Ideas?

Transposing the UVs could work, otherwise another program like Maya would be fine. I wouldn’t recommend having UVs touching the borders if you plan on doing any baking inside of zbrush however.
