is there a way to lineup a image with spotlight over your model, then save that out as a mask?
this way i can come back to the mask later and not have to lineup the spotlight again
thanks

If you save the Spotlight then the position of the images is saved. If you save the model as a project (Save As in the File palette) then the model position will be saved.
thanks Marcus I didnt know that.
It would be great to somehow be able to conver the spotlight image to a mask so i can spin the model around and sculpt while masked.
You could convert your texture to an Alpha then make it a Stencil.
NOTE: The above link for Stencil is broken. Use this one instead. (edited on March 5, 2022)
I know there is a way to paint a mask directly from the spotlight texture. I’ve done it before, but I can’t remember. I’m struggling with the same thing right now.
