Spotlight texure as an alpha?

Been playing around with spotlight/lightbox, and of course have a couple of questions:

Is there a way to take an image from the web that is being used as a texture, and use it within/or export from spotlight as a stencil for sculpting? Seems like a logical step to desaturate, increase the contrast, then use to create surface detail for something like wood grain for example.
Any way to point to url’s, I am not having luck typing anything in to lightbox.
Paths to directories- same issue, would like to point to other existing directories, but pasting them into the lightbox window doesn’t seem to do it.

looking good so far, I am pretty pleased!!

leaving zadd seems to give depth to the map, I had it ticked off. Other questions are still not solved

DoubleClick to send a texture or alpha to Spotlight.
SHIFT+DoubleClick to send texture to the texture palette and alpha to the alpha palette.

Thanks Andreseloy, but shift double-clicking is opening the image in an external browser here…I tried ctrl, and alt double-clicking as well.
