Spotlight projection sculpting

Hi, I am trying to sculpt pores on my model using a spotlight projection of high detailed full face black and white image (skin is grey, pores are black) and using the dam standard brush but I am having no luck as I get the details of the pores but the brush makes a big dent in the mesh. How do I make the brush not affect the grey in the spotlight projection (and make black go in and white go out)?

I don’t think that is the way to go. A better way would be to use an alpha with DragRect stroke. Rafael Souza has a free set of skin brushes that you should try that will make the job a lot easier. You can download his brush set here.
