Spotlight Keeps Crashing

1. Spotlight Crashes Constantly!
Spotlight seems so unstable. I am painting my model using Spotlight but it is constantly crashing after I paint for about a minute and it seems to be getting worse the more I reopen and use Spotlight. Is this a known issue and is there something I can do to prevent it? :frowning:

2. Can I Somehow Save the File to Continue Painting?
I tried saving the .ztl and the .zbr file but it doesn’t save any of the Spotlight settings so I have to set everything up all over again when I load the .ztl. Is there a way I can save the file so it opens where I left off with all of the settings intact so I can continue painting?

Mac OSX 2.58
12 GB Ram
NVidia GeForce 8800 GT
Texture is only 560 k in size

You can save your spotlight settings from the File / Spotlight / Save Spotlight menu. You can then load them back in at any time

Thanks Richard. Yes I have already saved my Spotlight settings which saves the Spotlight textures etc. but unless I am mistaken it doesn’t save the ZBrush settings as you had them. You still have to: Load the .ztl, Turn off Zadd, Turn on RGB, Set the models material, Turn on Spotlight, and Load the save Spotlight settings, which becomes very tedious and redundant after every Spotlight crash.

I was hoping I could just save and open a file and the aforementioned steps would all be held in memory so I could just start painting. Most 3D apps open as you save them and this would be very helpful  Is this possible?
