Spotlight isn't "Spotlighting"

When first playing around with spotlight, when I pressed z to paint, the image disappears except for where the brush is positioned on the mesh. I liked it. It’s clean and worked rather well. Later I went about trying to fix the paintstop bug. After succeeding I went back to playing around with spotlight, but now it won’t "spotlight anymore. When I press z, the dial vanishes as it should, but the image remains obstructing my view of my model. It functions more or less the same, but now with more frustrating headaches. I went scouring about trying to find a hidden option to resolve this but am so far unsuccessful. In general, lightbox with spotlight seems to be a little stubborn with me right now. The only real option I remember changing before noticing this problem was disabling lightbox opening on startup (which oddly enough, it ignores me and opens anyway).

A little odd.

I figured it out. I was just stupid. The dial had all the options I needed.
