Spotlight completely missing

Hello! I am running 4r5 and am at a bit of a loss in terms of spotlight. Double clicking an image does not load it into spotlight and there are no buttons for it where there ought to be (in the texture palate, menu, transform etc.) It seems to simply be completely missing from the program.

I’ve done several searches around and was unable to find an answer, including on ZBC threads. Is this perhaps a known issue? I looked around in preferences but couldn’t find anything that had disabled the feature.

As r6 just came out I would like to just do a full install and see if that fixes it - however after trying an upgrade it is not letting me activate r6 (will be working with my tech support to see if I am missing something first) so I’ll have to wait to see if any re-installing might solve it since I’m not sure what will happen to my liscense and don’t want to be locked out of using Zbrush for a bit.

I appreciate any help.

The SpotLight buttons are the group of four square buttons immediately below the texture icons - three are orange as they are turned on. You need to select a texture and then press the Add To Spotlight button (the button with arrows on the right) in order to enable SpotLight.

Thank you Marcus. I apologize for the minor issue - I’m actually coming late to the spotlight game as I’ve used textures the old way and haven’t yet become familiar with it - something I’m now changing. The things I saw in tutorials around the web weren’t working for me. I’ll experiment some more, but at least it is not the issue I had thought.

Thanks again for your response.
