Spot light question... [Answered]

Hey guys,

I’m having another hot key issue:

I assigned “Z” to something else long ago. In spot light the Z key is used to toggle paint mode on off in spotlight…

is there another tab or something to turn it on anywhere else? “Paint” in the spotlight wheel doesn’t do the trick either… what am I missing here? I’m going through tuts, everything, I cant for the life of me figure out why I cant project a goddamn smudge of color to my model, from my spotlight image?

super frustrated right now :frowning:

please help…

It’s the Edit Spotlight button in the Transform palette : http://docs.pixologic.com/reference-guide/transform/

The Paint button on the dial is for painting the Spotlight image, not painting the model. Also, when using Spotlight the Brush>Samples>Spotlight Projection button should be turned on (it is on by default): http://docs.pixologic.com/reference-guide/brush/samples/ Turning it off means that you can use Spotlight for reference images on screen that do not affect the sculpt.

Thank you, Marcus, again! Real life saver…
