Split Model Into Multiple Parts???

Hi, sorry for my english…i dont know if this is the right place to write my questions, this is the first time.

1 - How could you split a model into multiple parts if its already a polymesh 3d, i mean split it if its already finished to subdivide more times?

2 - How do you avoid figure to damage skin when possing? sometimes it looks like if it crashes the skin not masked closely?

3 - Could you import objects created for programs as DAZ3d? i couldn because of something about the polygons

  1. Yes, there are several ways. One is having the model splitted in the uvs. Go to Tool>polygroups and choose the uv option. Another would be playing with visibility. Left visible only the polygons you want to split and use the visible option (in polygroups submenu). Or if you wanna really split, go to Tool>Subtool and convert it to subtool.

  2. Mask the non posable piece (with control pressed) and then blur the mask (clicking in it without dragging, only clik, besides having control pressed).

3)Eerr… DAZ3d?. Use .obj if DAZ3d can export in this format, in other case search (and find) a plug-in for DAZ3d that can do it.
