Hi, I’m having trouble splitting a mesh from the subtool.
I applied a custom brush with Curve Mode and made it into a rope.
This mesh is now merged with subtool but I would like to split them apart.
Can anyone, please, tell me how it’s done?

You can do it using polygroups. Turn on polyframe (Shift+F) so you can see the groups. You will need to make sure that the subtool is one group and the rope another. You can isolate a group by Shift+Ctrl+clicking on it. If you Shift+Ctrl+click again the visibility is reversed. Then use Tool>Polygroups>Group Visible to make a single group when necessary (for example, of the rope if it has separate groups). Once you have the groups set up you can use Tool>SubTool>Split>Groups Split to split the polygroups into separate subtools.
You just made my day. Thank you very much!
In future, whenever I’ll apply a brush stroke to another subtool, I’ll keep it masked (automatically masks when applied) and split it then.
Thanks again!
