When using ZRemesh on my model, no matter how many times I circle it with guide curves and no matter how high I set the curve strength, I keep getting bizarre edge flow on the feet that spiral around like a barber’s pole.
If I select an edge loop on it, it coils all the way around the entire foot. The whole legs were previously like this as well before applying guide curves.
I’ve tried just fixing it in Maya after, but I can’t figure out where to even start with trying to fix that by hand, and all my attempts there have failed as well.
This shouldn’t even be able to happen in the first place, I would think.
Anyone know how I can either stop this from happening in the first place with ZRemesh, or how I should go about editing the edges to fix it in Maya?
if i really need it clean i do it by hand in zbrush via zsphere retopo or in any other tool i like. i bet it gets better in the next versions. there are already some other cool tools who look interesting for retopo.
