Just a quick thing, I was playing around modelling at lunchtime at work, a cyclops wildcat beast thing.
Hi spimmy! You have some nice new models here.
The cyclpos thing is cool. I
d love to see this head attached to a wildcat body. I just read that you worked with Match Maker. Is it easy to use? So far I had no chance to check it out because there are so many new features and brushes and I don
t have enough time.
I`m looking forward to seeing what else you come up with next time.
Thanks Moni , I haven’t yet used matchmaker as I have still been retopologising the mesh, but will let you know as soon as I do use it
So here is Superman retopologised finally, next is to continue sculpting and defining areas abit more, before using matchmaker to add the symbol. I need to also rework his hair mesh to get it looking good.
I’ve started a project that I am hoping to definitely finish!!!
I had an idea a while back, where I thought to myself what would “Alice in Wonderland” be like if it were set in space. So I started to concept some characters up, my hope is to make a scene with 4 characters, Alice, The White Rabbit, The Cheshire Cat, and The Mad Hatter. I thought this would be a nice gift for my Baby Daughter who is due later in Feb, as a picture to be put up on her nursery wall (Although I won’t be finishing anytime soon
).
I have concepted all of the characters except Alice, which I haven’t managed to get the right feel for yet.
The first of the characters I have been working on model wise ended up being The Mad Hatter, which I am at the moment base modeling him in Modo, but hope to get him into ZBrush soon to detail him up a little bit and unwrap and texture him. I am at the moment working on his gloves and hands, then I can get back to working on his head. I just thought it would be cool to post him here already to get any feedback.

Thanks minastris, glad you like the character :), I hope to base model the remaining chracters soon. I’m bogged down doing the Mad Hatters hands, I hate doing hands .
Finally finished modeling the Mad Hatter in Base form in Modo!
So will now bring the model in to ZBrush to UV Unwrap him, Texturing, and then posing him (and maybe a bit of sculpting).
Then will take him back to Modo to apply the textures and Render him out (I will possibly try Modo’s Hair/Fur tool as a final touch).
Anyways this is what he looks like now:

congratulations on your daughter.
Nice job on the character it look so appealing to me. Can’t wait to see how it will look like with textures.
Sorry for the late reply Eiad, thanks for the Congrats, she is now 9 Months today
So after a long time not really doing any ZBrush, I decided might be cool to do some stuff in my lunch hour and practice…so sculpted this fishy and rendered in Modo.
Wonderful, imaginative work! I especially enjoyed the Mad Hatter … the kicker for me was the teapot on his back.
Sorry for the extremely late reply, thanks chalkman for your comment
Anyways here is a model I created during a couple of lunchtimes at work. Modelled in Zbrush, rendered in Modo. The idea behind it, is that it is a Vampire Lords Bust, created out of the congealed blood of his victims.
I did a few tweaks to the Vamp Head Model, made the nose bridge protrude more and made the lumps on the nose more pronounced. Then dropped the brow, and lifted one side of his top lip, to break the symmetry a bit. I think it was a fun practice piece for me, so will try to do a few more pieces like this, and post a few things more regularly.
One last play with the Vamp in ZBrush just to see what I can do with him as a character, so I superherofied him :D.
Really loving QMesher, thanks Pixologic
I was a big fan of Teen Titans in the early 2000’s, and was interested in doing a version of Starfire to get some practice in
Hope you guys like, any critique would be great!
Another new work in progress, Tigerman, still working on muscle structure and details on the face hands and feet. Still pushing myself to learn during lunchtimes at work.
Any critique is welcome.
Another bit a work that I am doing this time for my portfolio, is this clown:
The clown is based on a concept I did to do with some circus characters, I hope to work on some of the other circus characters too!
I do have a question though, i want to use the ZBrush Hair, but not sure how to create those shapes easily, I’ve tried but it’s damn hard, any help would be great, please!! Thats why I just modelled the hair for now.
Any critiquing welcome.
First of all Happy New Year to all!! It’s been a long time since I last posted…been so busy, although I still browse the forum from time to time and love seeing everyones artwork!! Anyway, I started working on this character on some of my lunch hours, a lot still to go but though to post it anyway, get some feed back etc.
