Cheers Captain .
I’ve been practicing some more on creating some character heads, so here’s another, I’m going to work on this one as a proper practice piece, anyway hope it’s looking fine, the structure is based on a Japanese young woman:

I continued work on my Girl practice model. I want just to make a bust from her, so here is how she is looking so far. I re-topped her and am now trying to get the shapes and features more defined.
I also think she needs some hair, so maybe will set her up with some next.
Still just practicing , although I will continue a little bit more with this one, I think I have said that to my last few practice models  , oh well, I will see how this one goes. A Nordic Rock Warrior dude.
Nice studies. I think the girl needs a little more work, IMO. Especially around the eyes. I always have problems with that, too. Its a very tricky area. Are you still working on Ramos? He
s looking great. I like the pose very much. I`m looking forward to seeing an update.
Hi Moni, thanks for the reply it’s been a while , around the eyes are a tough thing for sure, I guess practice is the key
. Yes I will return to my Ramos character, just wanted to play around and learn more stuff to be-able to implement what I learn on my Ramos character.
I am really glad you like the model so far Moni .
Well did some extra work on my Nordic Warrior character, worked even more on the facial details and hair.
Hi guys,
It’s been a while since I last posted on ZBrush Central, the last couple of months I decided to join in and enter the B-Movie Challenge in CGSociety. So my concept was a take on King Kong, but instead of a Giant Gorilla, it’s a Giant Mutated Chicken by the name of Chic Kong So basically my composition is a Mutant Chicken carrying a woman up the Empire State Building!
The Buildings, Helicopters, TItle and the Base mesh of the Chicken were done in 3DSMax, and then the chicken was taken into ZBrush, posed, detailed up and textured.
I have submitted it as the final image and the deadline for challenge is today, so looking forward to seeing how I do!! But the good thing is I learnt alot from doing it and that’s the important thing.
Looks great! Love retro stuff.
sweet! i see its playing in 3D
Pro4210: Thanks Glad you liked my final piece
Turchik: Yep in full 3D
I haven’t really used ZSketch, and thought that it is about time I gave it ago!!! , so here is my first ZSketch effort, it’s still only a start, The ManSpider
.
Hey Spimmy, I saw your B-Movie entry over on CGTalk. Nice job on that. Good start on the manspider. Looking forward to how that progresses.
Thanks Captain , glad you liked my B-Movie entry, still waiting on the results, still don’t know an announcement date
.
Anyways, I have done a little bit more work, on Man Spider, you will find he has become a She  . Just playing around and see what I get really.
True, I never seem to finish anything, it’s just there’s just no time to finish anything!!!
So here’s something new that I might not finish
A skull warrior, gonna give him medieval garments and the like:
I really need to try and get at least one finished piece of work, but so much time goes between each time I get the chance to play with ZBrush, that I have lost momentum on one thing and start a new thing instead.
So here is another start on something, a pig character. Not sure what way to take him? Go for a typical warrior mutant pig thing or a pig with a top hat, cigar and tie.
Really looking forward in seeing what new and cool unannounced features are in ZBrush 4!!! Cheers Pixologic!!
Continuing work on Pigsy…worked a bit more on the main head features and wrinkling, plus started working on the ear and tongue. Hopefully will copy the ear over once it’s modelled fully.
Hi I like your pig, just add some more details and it will rock!
Thx for the comment keraj47, glad you like how Pigsy is coming along.
I have detailed and shaped the ears some more, I have also decided to fatten up the neck of the pig, giving him a large fold under his chin. I am hoping to get his shirt collar and tie into the scene soon.
I thought I will bring in the top hat I was making in Modo. I only did it in basic form but will shape the rim correctly in ZBrush. I also added a cylinder to start modelling the cigar.
I also worked the chin folds a bit nicer.
I decided to play around with polypainting on the old version of the head, just to see what tones to use and how they will look together. I have also been working on the pigs cravat, will post that later on.
A few of my friends talked to me a few weeks back, and said to me why am I not finishing stuff!!! That most of the work is done and it’s just getting the detail and polish to finish things.
Then I went back to my superman model (after months), and thought they are right!!! So, I have started retopologising the mesh, I also gave Decimation Master and GoZ with Modo a try, and did this render of my ZBrush model in Modo.
So I will finish retopologising next and detail him up more, before working on his hair, I will also remove the symbol and remake it using Shadowbox and Matchmaker. Anyway hope he’s looking better.
